ONGC pushes back production date for its KG block

ONGC has pushed out the start date of natural gas production from a cluster of discoveries in the Krishna Godavari (KG)-DWN-98/2 and KG-D5 blocks to December 2019. ONGC is reworking the $5.07 billion project to accommodate new policies such as the goods and services tax and local purchase preference rules. First gas from the block is expected in December 2019 while first oil from the block is expected in March 2021.
