NHAI awards contracts for all packages of Purvanchal Expressway

NHAI has awarded contracts for each of the eight packages of the Purvanchal Expressway. Gayatri Projects Limited has secured Packages I and II of the project, which entail the construction of the 40.2 km Chand Sarai-Barabanki stretch at an estimated cost of Rs 14.83 billion and the 39.7 km Sansara-Jaraikala stretch at an estimated cost of Rs 12.76 billion. Further, the contract for Packages IV and VII was secured by GR Infraprojects Limited, under which the construction of the 42.7 km Sidhi Ganeshpur-Sansarpur stretch at an estimated cost of Rs 14.97 billion and the Rs 46.08 km Mojrapur-Bijaura stretch at an estimated cost of Rs 14.37 billion will be undertaken. PNC Infratech Limited also secured two packages of the project – Packages V and VI. The former entails the construction of the 54 km Sansarpur-Gobindpur stretch at an estimated cost of Rs 15.66 billion while the latter involves the construction of the 28.2 km Gobindpur-Mojrapur stretch at an estimated cost of Rs 9.54 billion. Package III, entailing the construction of the 41.7 km Jaraikala-Sidhi Ganeshpur stretch, will be undertaken by Apco Infratech Private Limited at an estimated cost of Rs 13.81 billion while Package VIII involving the construction of the 47.97 km Bijaura-Haidariya stretch will be implemented by Oriental Structural Engineers Private Limited at an estimated cost of Rs 16.22 billion.
