Haryana approves Delhi-Haryana HSR line

The Haryana government has approved a 100 km long high speed rail line (Phase I) connecting Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to the Haryana-Rajasthan border near Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror. The estimated cost of Phase I is Rs 250 billion. A total of 12 stations are proposed, of which five will be in Delhi and seven in Gurugram. The average speed of the train is expected to be 100 km per hour. The project will be executed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), a joint venture of the centralgovernment and the state governments of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi. The NCRTC will also prepare the detailed project report. Construction work is expected to begin by March 2019.
