DoT directs TTSL to provide details of sale of its consumer business to Airtel

DoT has directed Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) to provide details of the sale of its consumer mobile business to Bharti Airtel. These details will help DoT decide which of the companies will be responsible for paying the dues that TTSL owes to the government. According to the deal, Airtel is only taking over deferred payment liabilities of Rs 15 billion-Rs 20 billion for TTSL’s spectrum bought in auctions. Before giving its approval, DoT wants TTSL to settle its dues of Rs 60 billion.
