Actis-owned Sprng Energy set to ink solar assets buyout deal

Sprng Energy Private Limited, an Indian renewable energy platform set up by British private equity firm Actis, has finalised a deal to buy solar assets from a Shapoorji Pallonji Group company. The deal involves the entire domestic portfolio of Shapoorji Pallonji Infrastructure Capital Company Private Limited and is likely to be announced shortly. The acquisition will help Sprng Energy, whose holding company is Solenergi Power Private Limited, meet its target of achieving 2,000 MW capacity in four-five years.
