Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Limited has secured a contract to supply 40 Skyline Pro E electric buses for Mumbai. The buses are a part of the order for 390 buses announced by the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises in December 2017. Each 9-metre bus will be air- conditioned (AC), have a range of 177 km and deploy Revolvo electrification technology supplied by KPIT Technologies Limited.
