Uttar Pradesh government signs MoU with YEIDA and Noida-Greater Noida authorities to fast track development of Jewar airport

The Uttar Pradesh government has signed an MoU with the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), and the Noida and Greater Noida industrial development authorities to monitor and fast-track work on the proposed Jewar greenfield international airport project in Greater Noida. With the signing of the MoU, land acquisition of about 1,441 hectares will commence. YEIDA, the implementing agency, is also expected to start the process of preparing the bid document for selecting the concessionaire and bids are likely to be invited by end-July, 2018. The entire project, which will be developed on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis, will be developed in a phased manner and involves an investment of about Rs 200 billion.
