Passenger services commence on different sections of Chennai metro rail

The Chennai Metro Rail Corporation has commenced passenger services on the extensions of Blue and Green Lines of the Chennai metro, Phase I. The Blue Line extension spans 4.8 km from Little Mount to AG-DMS, covering four stations, and the Green Line extension spans 2.6 km from Nehru Park to Central Station, covering two stations. The Chennai metro rail now spans 35.3 km and covers 26 stations.
