The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) has approved funds worth Rs 36.93 billion for 703 road projects and 73 bridges in Jammu & Kashmir under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Roads spanning a length of 4,821.31 km and bridges spanning 3,084 metres are planned to be constructed in the state during 2018-19. Further 1,870 km of roads will be upgraded under 257 road upgradation projects during the year.
