India starts import of LNG from Russia

India received its first LNG shipment from Russia’s Gazprom at Petronet’s Dahej LNG terminal on June 4, 2018. As per the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, India will be importing $1.5 billion worth of LNG from Russia every year and will import $25 billion worth of gas in total over the next 20 years.
