DoT has invited bids to install 214 mobile towers in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for providing 2G and 4G services. As per the tender document, 172 mobile towers will be installed in uncovered villages and 42 towers along national highways in the union territory. The subsidy for mobile towers will be provided in two phases. The last date for tender submission is July 24, 2018.
