The Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) opened the second round of auctions under the Discovered Small Field Programme – DSF-II – to investors on May 14, 2018. The auction offers 26 contract areas made up of 60 discovered oil and gas fields with total hydrocarbon reserves of over 195 million tonnes (mt). Of the 26 contract areas, 15 are onland while 11 are shallow offshore areas. The total area is spread over eight sedimentary basins and bidding is expected to start in September 2018.
