The consortium of Reliance Infrastructure Limited and Astaldi has secured a Rs 15.84 billion EPC contract from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority for the construction of Mumbai Metro, Line 4 in three packages (Packages 8, 10 and 12). Line 4 will span 32.3 km (elevated) from Wadala to Kasarvadavali via Ghatkopar, Mulund and Thane and will cover 32 stations. Construction is expected to begin in June 2018 and operations by 2022.
