Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, is reportedly planning to bid for two solar power plants in Maharashtra. TPREL is seeking to invest around Rs 20 billion in the two projects, which have a capacity of 250 MW and 150 MW respectively. The tender for these projects has been floated by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Limited with a tariff ceiling of Rs 3 per unit.
