The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has introduced the Waterconnect app to facilitate online applications for new water connections and bill payments. Besides, the duration for issuance of a new connection has been reduced from 90 days to 18 days. In addition, the Jalam Jeevam app, which provides information pertaining to rain water harvesting pits and a website (jalamjeevam.telangana.gov.in) were also launched.
