Tata Motors has delivered 25 Starbus diesel-electric hybrid buses to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority for service on new routes connecting the Bandra Kurla Complex, Thane, Mulund, Kharghar, Sion, Borivali and Navi Mumbai. The buses have low floors, CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi, LED displays, lithium-ion batteries and BS-IV-compliant engines. They comply with urban bus specifications (UBS-II), automotive industry standards (AIS 052) and Central Motor Vehicle Rules.
