The Odisha government has sanctioned Rs 42.65 billion for road projects in the state. The scope of work involves the improvement of 1,175 km of roads, 40 bridges and five rail overbridges. The sanctioned amount also includes Rs 3.5 billion for two-laning of state highways, Rs 0.8 billion for public-private partnership projects, Rs 4 billion for central road projects and Rs 7.14 billion for road maintenance works.
