IWAI appoints consultant for feasibility studies for ferry services in Varanasi, Patna, Munger, Bhagalpur, Kolkata and Haldia

The Inland Waterways Authority of India has engaged a consultant to prepare feasibility studies for the development of ferry services and the identification of locations at Varanasi, Patna, Munger, Bhagalpur, Kolkata and Haldia. The ferry services are being developed as a part of the Jal Marg Vikas Project for navigation capacity augmentation on the Haldia-Varanasi stretch of National Waterway-1 (Ganga river).
