IPGPL orders 14 RTGCs for Chabahar port

India Ports Global Private Limited (IPGPL) has ordered 14 rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGCs) worth $18 million from Finnish crane maker Cargotec OYJ, to be deployed at Chabahar port in Iran. Earlier, IPGPL had signed a contract worth $29.8 million with Chinese port crane maker Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Company Limited for four rail-mounted quay cranes (RMQCs) at the port. The four RMQCs will be delivered in 16-18 months while the RTGCs will be supplied in 12-14 months.
