IndiGo and Jet Airways opt out of acquiring Air India; Tata Group and Emirates likely too

IndiGo and Jet Airways have opted out of participating in Air India’s divestment process. According to IndiGo, the airline was interested only in the carrier’s international operations and Air India Express. However, the option is not available under the government’s current divestiture plans. Meanwhile, the Tata Group and Emirates are also unlikely to participate in the divestment process.
