Indian ports handled 679.36 mt of traffic during 2017-18

During fiscal year 2017-18, Indian major ports handled 679.36 million tonnes (mt) of traffic, compared to 648.4 mt in 2016-17, registering an increase of 4.77 per cent. Deendayal port (erstwhile Kandla port) handled the maximum traffic at 110.1 mt, followed by Paradip port (102.01 mt) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (66 mt).
