Government sets up National Cyber Coordination Centre to address cyber security concerns

The government has set up a National Cyber Coordination Centre to address various kinds of cybersecurity threats including those arising from misuse of social media. The government stated that action under the Information Technology Act is also taken for removal or blocking of such content which affects the interests of the country’s sovereignty, integrity, defence, security, friendly relations with foreign states and public order or for preventing incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence relating to the above.
