Uttar Pradesh government allocates Rs 113.43 billion for road construction under State Budget 2018-19

The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated Rs 113.43 billion for the construction of roads and Rs 18.17 billion for the construction of bridges under the State Budget 2018-19. Further, Rs 6.5 billion has been allocated for primary work on the Bundelkhand expressway project, Rs 5.5 billion for the initial work for the Gorakhpur link expressway project, Rs 10 billion for the Purvanchal expressway project and Rs 5 billion for the Agra-Lucknow expressway project. A budgetary provision of Rs 2.5 billion has also been made for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor regional rapid transit project and Rs 5 billion for metro projects.
