The Noida Metro Rail Corporation has received Rs 6.87 billion from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for the development of the Aqua Line. Construction is ongoing and passenger services are scheduled to begin in April 2018. The funding is part of the Rs 9.7 million equity share of the central government. The remaining funds of Rs 2.83 billion will be provided in the form of subordinate debt in 2019. The line will span 29.7 km from Noida City Sector 71 to Knowledge Park IV in Greater Noida and will cover 21 stations.
