MMRDA appoints contractors for civil works of Line 2B, Line 4 of Mumbai metro

The executive committee of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has appointed contractors for the construction of an elevated viaduct and stations of the Mumbai Metro, Phase I, Line 2B project (DN Nagar-Mankhurd-Mandale) and Mumbai Metro, Phase II, Line 4 project (Wadala-Ghatkopar-Teen Haat Naka [Thane]-Kasarwadavli) on March 3, 2018. The bids were invited in seven packages in November 2017. The work for package I of Line 2B (Rs 5.2 billion) was awarded to a consortium of RCC Infra Ventures Limited and Mostobudivelnyi Zahin Limited. Package II (Rs 3.93 billion) was awarded to a consortium of Neeraj Cement Structural Limited, GGYHBCL and MPKHS Private Limited. Further, Package I (Rs 5.4 billion), Package III (Rs 5,130 million) and Package V (Rs 5.3 billion) of Line 4 were awarded to a consortium of Reliance Infrastructure Limited and Astaldi. Package II (Rs 5.3 billion) and Package IV (Rs 5.1 billion) of Line 4 were awarded to a consortium of Tata Projects Limited and China Harbour Engineering Company Limited.
