CLP India expresses interest in acquiring transmission business of Essel Infraprojects

CLP India Private Limited has reportedly expressed interest in acquiring the transmission business of Essel Infraprojects Limited at a project valuation of around $1 billion. Previously, the Greenko Group had expressed an interest in acquiring the assets. At present, Essel Infraprojects has five transmission projects in its portfolio and CLP India has the largest wind power portfolio in the country with an aggregate capacity of 1,000 MW.
