The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids for setting up 3 GW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects to be installed across different locations in the country. The solar photovoltaic (PV) projects will be implemented on a build-own-operate basis. The successful bidders will enter into a power purchase agreement with SECI for a 25-year term, at a fixed tariff of Rs 2.93 per kWh. The successful bidders will be chosen through an e-bidding process followed by an e-reverse auction process. The last date for the submission of bids is April 27, 2018.
