GAIL (India) Limited has entered into a 20-year contract for importing 3.5 mtpa of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from US-based Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass liquefaction facility in Louisiana. The first shipment was flagged off on March 6, 2018, and will discharge LNG at GAIL’s Dabhol terminal on or around March 28, 2018.
