TRAI has warned Reliance Communications (RCOM) of punitive action if the operator failed to refund users’ money for unspent prepaid balances and security deposits of its mobile subscribers after shutting down its wireless operations. Earlier, RCOM had opposed TRAI’s directive asking it to refund unspent balances of its mobile subscribers, in the wake of discontinuation of its voice services.
