TRAI in its recommendations on in-flight connectivity (IFC) has suggested the use of mobile telephony and internet services during air travel. As per the recommendations, the services can be used through satellite and terrestrial networks. TRAI has recommended an annual licence fee of only Re 1 initially for an IFC service provider, after it has entered into an arrangement with a telecom licence holder with authorisation.
