Kiran Energy secures fresh funding from PE backers

Solar power producer Kiran Energy Solar Power Private Limited has raised Rs 700 million ($11 million) in a fresh round of equity fund raising from existing institutional investors. The company has raised the amount in a round led by global multistage investment firm Bessemer Venture Partners. Private equity (PE) firms Argonaut Ventures and New Silk Route also participated in this round. Bessemer has put in nearly Rs 260 million while Argonaut Ventures and New Silk Route have contributed Rs 210 million-Rs 230 million each.
