Japan commits loan of 45 billion yen for Bengaluru water project

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has committed an official development assistance loan of JPY 45 billion (about Rs 25.87 billion) for the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Project (Phase 3). The project will provide the residents of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) area, especially in 110 villages, with safe and stable water supply and sewerage services by carrying out construction of a water treatment plant and sewage treatment plants.
