The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) has acquired a 6.3 per cent stake in ReNew Power Ventures Private Limited from ADB for $144 million (Rs 9.2 billion). This is the first stage of CPPIB’s investment in the company. It was earlier reported that CPPIB was looking to pick up a 15-17 per cent stake in ReNew Power through a mix of primary and secondary transactions.
