The central government inaugurated the weekly cargo service on the Pandu-Dhubri/Hatsingimari stretch of NW-2 (Brahmaputra river) on December 29, 2017. Subsequently, the government flagged off two barges with a capacity of 200 tonnes each, carrying a total of 400 tonnes of cement from Pandu port to Dhubri.
