The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the implementation of the Jal Marg Vikas project (for navigation capacity augmentation on NW-1) on January 3, 2018. It has been approved at a cost of Rs 53.69 billion with technical assistance and investment support of the World Bank. The project is expected to be completed by March 2023.
