In 2015, CASE India launched three models of its crawler dozers – 1150L, 1650L and 2050M – in the 13, 18 and 20 tonne categories respectively. The new CASE 2050M offers several unique features. It has a 6.7 litre, six-cylinder engine developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies Industrial. The turbocharged engine with an air-to-air intercooler uses a well-proven multi-injection technology to maximise torque backup under load. This results in consistent performance, higher pulling capacity and an ability to work with high torque at lower engine revolutions per minute, thereby reducing long-term engine wear.
Further, the compartment is well equipped with an operator seat, a dashboard and control switches for better accessibility. In order to facilitate maintenance, the cab can be tilted to provide full access to all the main components of the powertrain. In addition, the automated functions in the cab, such as the electrohydraulic joystick, which can be used for customising reversing and steering sensitivity, allows drivers to achieve shorter cycle times and boosts productivity.
