Odisha government allocates over Rs 4 billion for water supply and sanitation works

The Odisha government has, under its supplementary budgetary provisions, allocated Rs 1.11 billion for urban water supply under the Buxi Jagabandhu Assured Water Supply to Habitations scheme, Rs 1.09 billion for urban sanitation and Rs 100 million for drainage system diversion at Banki Muhana. In addition, funding provisions include Rs 750 million for flood control and drainage, Rs 960 million for water sector infrastructure development and Rs 593 million for a canal lining and system rehabilitation programme under the Nabakrushna Choudhury Secha Unnayan Yojana.
