In order to boost air connectivity in the Northeast, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has announced flight services for 92 new routes in the region under the second round of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). The announcement was made at the North East Development Summit. Meanwhile, once Pakyong airport in Sikkim is completed, connectivity to the northern part of the state would be eased further.
