The foundation stone for an international ship repair facility at Cochin port was laid on November 17, 2017. The facility will include a shiplift system (130 x25 metres) with a lifting capacity of 6,000 tonnes, six workstations and a transfer system. It is estimated to entail an investment of Rs 9.7 billion.
