RInfra secures Rs 10 billion EPC contract for KNPP Units 3 and 4

Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra) has secured an EPC contract for Units 3 and 4 of 1,000 MW each of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP) in Tamil Nadu. RInfra emerged as the lowest bidder with a bid of Rs 10 billion followed by BHEL and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) that bid Rs 10.32 billion and Rs 11 billion respectively. The scope of work involves design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, commissioning and performance guarantee of common services systems, structures and components. KNPP Units 3 ad 4 are being developed by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited in association with Russia-based Rosatom.
