DMRC completes viaduct works for Noida-Greater Noida metro

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has completed the construction of a viaduct for the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail Project in Uttar Pradesh. Work on the project commenced in May 2015 with the first girder being launched in December 2015. The viaduct was constructed by specialised technique of precast pier caps and precast U-girders. The viaduct consists of a total of 2,830 girders. All the girders were prefabricated at the two casting yards located in Noida Sector 149 and the depot station in Greater Noida, and each weighed approximately 153 tonnes. The project involves the development of a 29.7 km long metro system to connect Noida and Greater Noida.
