The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has decided to reduce the interconnect usage charge (IUC) to Re 0.06 per minute from the existing Re 0.14 per minute. The revised IUC has become effective from October 1, 2017. Moreover, the regulator has decided to abolish the IUC completely from January 1, 2020.
