DoT mandates that operators get telecom equipment tested and certified by October 1, 2018

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has mandated that telecom operators get the telecom equipment used by them tested and certified by authorised agencies as per the specified norms, by October 1, 2018. Moreover, DoT has stated that the fee charged for testing carried out by the telegraph authority should not exceed Rs 5 million.
