Fluke Corporation introduces Ti450 SF6 gas leak detector

US-based Fluke Corporation is one of the leading suppliers of compact, professional electronic test tools and software for measuring and condition monitoring. The company has launched the Fluke® Ti450 SF6 gas leak detector which combines a high quality infrared camera with an SF6 leak detector that can visually pinpoint the location of leaks without shutting down the equipment. The Ti450 SF6 allows the utility to conduct regular infrared and gas inspections. It eliminates the need to wait for annual or biannual leak inspections and procure or rent expensive equipment.

The pistol-grip Ti450 SF6 makes diagnoses of issues not only in convenient locations, but also in hard-to-reach or high overhead locations. The detector can also be used to quickly verify that the leak has been fixed.

The infrared camera includes the LaserSharp® Auto Focus that delivers instant focus on a single target using a built-in laser distance meter to calculate and display the distance to the designated target with pinpoint accuracy. LaserSharp® Auto Focus enables technicians to precisely capture infrared readings from up to a distance of 100 feet. This makes it safe to measure leakages in high voltage areas and potentially dangerous areas. It also features the Fluke IR-Fusion® technology, which combines both digital and infrared images for better clarity. By adjusting the blending of the image, technicians can easily detect the exact location of the gas leak.

The Ti450 SF6 comes with a 2x telephoto smart lens, a tripod holder for mounting on to any standard tripod, an eyepiece, cable, viewer, batteries and chargers, all in a hard shell carrying case. SF6 gas detection training tools, including a systematic instruction video, are also available on Fluke’s website.
