The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) plans to introduce Bharat Stage-VI (BS-VI) fuel by April 2020 and make it as clean as compressed natural gas. The ministry has also stated that refineries are being upgraded for BS-VI production at an investment of Rs 300 billion.
