UP government infuses Rs 40 billion for Jewar airport Phase I development

The Uttar Pradesh government will provide funds to the tune of Rs 40 billion for Phase I works of the Jewar airport development project. The decision to form a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to generate funds for land acquisition has been rejected. Instead, it has been decided that the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, the nodal agency to set up the airport, will commence the land acquisition process with funds provided by the state government.
