Simplex Infrastructure Limited quotes lowest bid for construction of metro rail stretch in Bengaluru

Kolkata-based Simplex Infrastructure Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder for the development of a 7.5 km metro stretch and five metro stations under Phase II of the Bengaluru metro rail project in Karnataka. The elevated stretch, called Reach 6, is a part of the 21.42 km long Gottigere-Nagawara metro line. It consists of six stations – Gottigere, Hulimavu, IIMB, JP Nagar 4th Phase, Jayadeva and Swagath Road Cross. While the Jayadeva interchange station is being developed by Hindustan Construction Company, Simplex Infrastructures Limited will undertake the construction of the remaining five stations, if awarded the contract. The company quoted the lowest bid of Rs 5.79 billion for the project. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited is expected to award tenders for the project by end-August.
