NHAI has granted in-principle approval for the construction of the Delhi-Panipat and Delhi-Alwar regional rapid transit system (RRTS) projects worth Rs 535 billion. The 111 km long Delhi-Sonepat-Panipat RRTS project is estimated to cost about Rs 165 billion while the 180 km Delhi-Rewari-Alwar line will cost about Rs 370 billion.
