IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited (ITNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for the construction, operations and maintenance (O&M) of the Zojila Pass tunnel project (National Highway [NH]-1D) on an engineering, procurement and construction basis. The company quoted the lowest bid of Rs 48.99 billion. However, a letter of award is yet to be issued for the same. The project involves the construction and O&M of the 14.31 km, two-lane, bidirectional Zojila tunnel with parallel escape (egress) tunnels on the Srinagar-Leh section in Jammu & Kashmir.
