The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to set up a drinking water supply corporation for the state. The corporation will be responsible for supplying 100 mld of drinking water to every household. Besides this, it will also monitor the drinking water supplied by various village panchayats and urban local bodies. It will also mobilise resources for the maintenance of water supply infrastructure in the state.
